BrainGym :
Personal early learning experiences are the origin of imbalances that block the effectiveness of learning. As an example, when a learner tries too hard for a long time, this can switch off the brain-integration mechanisms.
That can lead to visual-motor coordination problems, difficulties in reading, writing, listening and concentration or in simply applying what has already been learned.
Brain Gym suggests solutions for overcoming these blocks and to obtain new competences together with the optimal use of learning capacities.
Brain Gym‘s goal is to optimize brain potential by reducing stressthrough the use of specific movements.
In practice it has been observed that all movements stimulates certain parts of the brain. Each part of the brain performs one or several tasks.By selecting targeted movements brain gym allows improvement of performance by the individual.
The Brain Gym program contains 26 simple physical movements. These movements can be used successfully for the following activities:
•Drawing
•Reading
•Spelling
•Writing
•Mathematical computation
This program is geared to improve such skills as:
•Listening
•Concentration
•Comprehension
•Expression •Creativity
